The customer service from this hotel was shocking. I made an error when booking and instead of assisting in correcting it, they simply said no. I recommend staying in the premier hotel down the road with much nicer and helpful staff.

I had 3 rooms booked for a wedding nearby. The hotel cancelled at the last minute with very poor customer service. I strongly recommend avoiding staying here!

I received a call nearly 2 weeks ago saying our booking was cancelled. They refused to book us into the other Best Western in Chelmsford and still haven't refunded us. This seems very suspicious, with different excuses every time I call. They haven't replied to any of my emails. You can't cancel and decide to keep people's money. Avoid!

The staff were very helpful. The entrance to the car park could be improved, not really what you expect from a good hotel, but the staff more than made up for it.

My wife booked this hotel for a weekend birthday present, which included a meal out in Chelmsford and a cinema visit. On the Wednesday before we were supposed to go, with only two days notice, the hotel cancelled our booking for refurbishment. They must have known before this and made no effort to find us another place in Chelmsford. Terrible customer service, I would not recommend this hotel. They ruined our weekend!

We stayed at the hotel to attend a wedding locally and were disappointed that the bar had to be attended by the night porter at 10.00 pm. The website mentioned a bar that usually stays open until the last customer leaves. However, there was no beer available. It seems like the hotel was more interested in accommodating economic migrants taking up half the rooms. I would not recommend this hotel.

I stayed here for my friend's daughter's wedding reception. The young lady at reception was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is basic but the rooms were a good size.

I highly doubt that this hotel should be classified as a 4 star. Upon arrival, the room we were assigned to was not cleaned. Imagine walking into someone else's mess. We then moved to another room. Throughout our entire 2 days and 3 nights stay, our rooms were not cleaned despite us even leaving a sign asking for it. When we left, the cleaning personnel was on our floor, so it's unclear why they skipped cleaning our room. This was an awful experience. Additionally, the breakfast was not good and needs improvement. This hotel is far from a 4-star rating.

I booked a room to be with other family members for a funeral the next day. When I arrived at 9.30pm, I was told the bar was closing and should have closed at 9pm, but they allowed it to stay open a bit longer for other family members. I checked the website again and found no mention of this, nor could I find a phone number to complain. The online form only had predefined comments. I can understand the restaurant not taking bookings after nine, but not the bar. There was no bottled water in the room, and no indication of whether the tap water was drinkable.

This is a good hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The executive room was really nice, but the standard rooms are very tired. The breakfast is very good value when booked in advance.

Let's be fair, if you claim to be a 4-star hotel, you need to be better than the Premier Inn just 2 minutes away. My stay was very disappointing as the facility and experience did not live up to a 4-star standard. The staff were nice, but don't expect a 4-star experience. At best, it is a 2-star room and breakfast facility.

It's a nice place, I would go there again. However, there was no air conditioning and it was very hot. It's an easy walk to Chelmsford town centre.

This hotel deserves 5 stars. It has great internet, a large room with all necessary facilities, it is clean, the staff are very helpful and polite. It is a very nice hotel close to the high street and groceries in Chelmsford. It is located 7 minutes to the high street and 7 to 10 minutes to the train station.
